What We Do
We work with organisations to establish the facts of workplace concerns and present a balance of evidence that supports them to make decisions relating to their people or practices where incidents that are in breach of organisational policy have occurred.
We individually tailor each investigation to the specific incident that has been raised with us. We work with our clients, obligation free, to develop an initial investigation proposal which sets out the processes we will follow.
The processes detailed in our proposal have been built on a strong foundation of procedural fairness. We have fine-tuned our process over time as cases have come before the Fair Work Commission or Courts to ensure that we leave absolutely no stone unturned when investigating allegations.
We understand that the investigative process can be very tiring and can create a lot of stress for any party involved in the investigation. We alleviate that anxiety by ensuring that people are regularly contacted in order to be kept informed of the investigation as it progresses and to answer any concerns that may arise.
Our Process
Below are some of the processes we would follow in a typical investigative process:
Scope
Work with our client to develop the investigation scope that identifies the relevant allegations, organisational policies and processes applicable.
Plan
Develop the Investigation Plan that identifies all relevant parties and the allegations (alleged complainants, respondents, witnesses and other people of interest or area experts) to be interviewed and the information needed to conduct a fair and thorough investigation.
Communicate
Conduct preliminary phone conversations with all parties before interviews are conducted. Interviews are digitally recorded for all parties.
Gather Evidence
Conduct preliminary phone conversations with all parties before interviews are conducted. Interviews are digitally recorded for all parties.
Investigation Report
An extremely thorough investigation report is created that makes findings of fact on the allegations based upon the balance of probabilities. We discuss the content of the report and the reasoning behind the findings made at your location as requested.
